Letting a staff member or helper manage your profile is safer than sharing your password. Each person signs in with their own account, and you can remove them anytime.
What you'll need
Owner access on the profile (managers cannot add people)
The email address tied to the other person's Google Account
A decision: Owner or Manager
Owner or manager?
A profile can have many owners but only one primary owner. Google says managers have mostly the same access as owners, except they cannot add or remove users or remove the profile.
How to add someone
Open your profile. On a computer, search Google for my business. In the Google Maps app, tap Business at the bottom right.
Select More, then Business Profile settings, then People and access.
At the top left, select Add.
Enter their email address.
Under "Access," choose Owner or Manager.
Select Invite.
They can accept right away, and you get an email when they do. To cancel a pending invite, find them under "PENDING" and select Cancel invitation.
How to change someone's role or remove them
Change a role: in People and access, select the person, then Edit next to "Access." Pick the new role and Save.
Remove someone: in People and access, select the person, then Remove person. Their past review replies and posts stay on the profile.
Remove yourself: select yourself, then Stop managing, then Confirm. If you are the primary owner, transfer that role first.
How to transfer primary ownership
Use this if you sell the business or hand it to a partner.
Add the new person as an owner or manager first.
In People and access, select them.
Next to "Access," select Edit.
Select Primary owner, then Save.
Keep your profile safe
Google's own safety tips:
Give access only to people who truly need it. Owners can transfer the business, so add them with extra care.
Remove former employees right away.
Do not approve access requests from people you do not know.
If anyone helps manage your profile, make sure you stay an owner.
Turn on 2-Step Verification for your Google Account.
Google never charges to keep or verify a profile, and never asks for your one-time codes.
Common mistakes
Sharing one login with everyone. You lose track of who changed what.
Making every helper an owner. Managers can do almost everything they need.
Letting someone else be the only owner. Always keep owner access yourself.
Trying to add a Google Group. Google does not allow Groups as owners or managers.

Questions people ask
Should I just share my Google password with my helper?
No. Google says each person needs their own Google Account, so you can give access without sharing a password and remove it later.
What can a manager not do?
Google says managers cannot add or remove users or remove the profile. They can do most other things, like edit info, post, and reply to reviews.
Why can't the new owner do everything yet?
Google makes new owners and managers wait 7 days before they can delete the profile, remove other users, or transfer primary ownership.
I sold my business. What do I do?
Transfer primary ownership to the new owner so the profile and its reviews stay intact. They must be added as an owner or manager first.
