Listing what you sell helps the right people find you. Google says when someone searches for a service you offer, that service may be highlighted on your profile.
What you'll need
A list of your main services or products
Prices or "starting at" prices, if you want to show them
Clear photos for products
The Google Account that manages your profile
Which editor do I use?
Which editors you see depends on your category. Google calls menus, services, and products "limited availability" features.
How to add services
Open your profile. On a computer, search Google for my business. In the Google Maps app, tap Business at the bottom right.
Select Edit services.
Check the suggested services you offer. Google tailors these to your type of business. A plumber might see "Install faucet" or "Repair toilet."
Select Save.
To add your own service: select Edit services, then Add more services, then Add custom service. Type a short, clear name. Select Save.
To add price or a description: select Edit services, tap the service, fill in the price and description, then Save.
To group services: select Edit services, then Add a new business category, and add services under it.
How to add products (local stores)
Sign in and search Google for my business.
Click Edit products.
Fill out the form for the product, including a photo.
Click Publish.
To change or remove one, click Edit products, click the product, edit and Publish, or click Menu, then Delete.
Google says products must follow its Shopping ads policy. Breaking it can get all your products removed. Google's product editor also offers a US-only AI tool, Product Studio, that can change the background behind a product photo.
Common mistakes
Making a separate profile for each service. Google says list services on one profile instead.
Stuffing city names into service names. Keep names simple.
Old prices. If you show prices, update them when they change.
Using the wrong editor. The menu editor is only for food and drink businesses.
Your services should match the pages on your website. Our Free Website Check looks at that.
Google changes Business Profile screens often. We checked these steps in October 2026. If a button looks different, the Google help pages below have the latest.
Questions people ask
Why don't I see Edit services?
Google says the services editor is offered to businesses in certain categories, like service businesses. If you do not see it, check that your category fits what you do.
Can I put prices in a service name?
No. Google says custom service names with prices, phone numbers, personal info, or gibberish are rejected automatically. Add the price in the price field instead.
Do products need a barcode?
Not for the product editor. Google says it suits local stores whose products may not have barcodes. Stores with barcoded items and a point-of-sale system can use the Local Inventory app instead.
We will look at the site you already have and email what to fix first.
